Black and White Challenge 10: You Pick

For the final day of the challenge, I recreated one of my favorite manicures I've ever done.  Its a very simple design, but I love the result.  Black and White with polka dots.  I love this, and every time I wear it, I like it more.

I love this and loved doing the challenge.  I never thought I'd come up with so many ideas using black and white.  I hope to do another one soon.  I used one coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and used Wet n Wild Black Creme, making dots with the opposite color.

Black and White Challenge Day 9: Water Marbeling

Today, I had to water marble black and white.  Whenever I water marble, its always hit or miss. The black and white combo was a miss.  The colors were hard to work with, and I didn't like the result.

That was the only decent nail from my left hand.  I used I used two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, then used Wet n Wild Black Creme and Snow Me White to Water Marble.

Hunger Games Nails

I am so excited to see the movie tonight.  I have worn all four of the shades I bought now, and I love all of them.   To see the movie today, I chose to wear Riveting with Luxe and Lush over it.

This picture seemed to be the most accurate, after I shifted the colors a little bit.  Its so pretty for spring and summer.  This is two coats.

Riveting looks gorgeous with Luxe and Lush over it.  One coat.

I also wore electrify which is really pretty.  It was so shiny and fun.  It was thick, and only took two coats.

Smoke and Ashes is a really pretty black, with a little bit of green and blue shimmer in it.  Its very pretty.  This is only one coat!

Luxe and Lush looks so pretty over this.  I like it over this the best, because its black, but you can see the blue and green in it.

I used essie grow faster basecoat and seche vite top coat for these.

Happy Hunger Games Nail Polish!

Black and White Challenge Day 8: Sponging

I was really excited about this, I wanted to do a cute gradient sponging manicure.  But I could not find any sponges in my house.  So I opted towards a bath sponge thing, which did not work.  I saw some cotton stuffing in my closet and decided to just use that.  It was very hard to get a little, so I decided to sponge over the entire nail instead of the gradient effect.  I didn't think I would like this look, but I absolutely love it!  It's so fun and exciting.

That's the little piece of stuffing I used for this design.  I used two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, sponged (or technically stuffed?) on one coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme, and used Sally Hansen Complete Care 4-in-1 treatment for base and top coat.

Black and White Challenge Day 7: Black and White With Glitters

For day 7 of the challenge, I was out of ideas.  I decided to try a hole reinforcement manicure, but I wasn't that happy with how it came out.  I think I put the hole reinforcers on too soon, and some of the polish peeled off when I took them off my nails, so I had to fill in the holes by hand, thus making them a little messy and not as polished as I would have liked.  I really did like the glitter over the black though, it was very different than from what I've previously worn over white.

I used two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, one coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme, and Milani Diamond Dazzle for glitter, and Sally Hansen Complete Care 4-in-1 treatment for base coat and top coat.

Black and White Challenge Day 6: Color with White

I had no clue what color to do with white.  Then I said, hmm saint patricks day, and then it hit me.  Green with little white clovers! It didn't turn out quite like I expected, but I really liked this green polish!  And I usually never wear green, I'm surprised I had this color.

I used Sally Hansen Complete Care 4 in 1 treatment for base and top coat, sinful colors HD nails and kiss nail art paint for the clovers.  Happy Saint Patty's Day!

Black and White Challenge Day 5: Color with Black

When I think of a color that goes with black, I think red.  I think red is such a bold color, and looks great with black.  So it was no surprise I decided to use a red base with black stamped for day 5 of the black and white challenge. I used the cheetah design from bundle monster plate 221, and I think it came out pretty good.

I used essie grow faster base coat, one coat of revlon top speed fire, stamped using wet n' wild black creme and used seche vite as a top coat. I really liked this design, and I think its

Black and White Challenge Day 4: White with color

To be honest, I had no clue what I wanted to do for white with color.  I wanted something fun, but I didn't really have any ideas. I was looking through my stamps, and found my bundle monster zebra plate.  I decided to use my sally hansen pen in silver to stamp over white.  I ended up loving this! It was so cute.

The middle finger was the best in my opinion.  I had the ring finger white because I smudged it AFTER I had already cleaned the stamps and didn't want to start over, so I just did white. Overall, I really enjoyed this.

Black and White Challenge Day 3: Black with color

So for my black with color, I wanted to use 2 of my new polishes from the hunger games collection.  I was so excited to get these, I love the Hunger games series, and I loved some of these colors.  Smoke and Ashes is a dark, blackish blue with flecks of green.  It is so pretty.  I added Luxe and Lush on top of that, and it was so pretty.

You can kind of see the shimmer in Smoke and ashes, but its so pretty.  And I only had to use one coat! Always a plus.  I used essie grow faster base coat, one coat of smoke and ashes, and one coat of luxe and lush, followed by seche vite.  I loved this so much.  Its such a pretty combination.

Black and White Challenge Day 2: White on Black

I love black and white polka dots, so I decided to do a diagonal polka dot line.  I decided this wasn't enough, and filled in the top part of the nail with polka dots.

I really liked the result of this, its not perfect, but I don't think I'd like it as much if the polka dots were perfectly placed.  The disarray is more fun I think.
