Tuxedo Nails!

I had band festival, and we had to wear our uniforms, which include a bowtie.  This gave me the perfect opportunity to try out tuxedo nails, and I was so excited.  I found so many pictures online, and I just tried to create little bows with dots to complete them.

I used Sally Hansen Complete Care for a base and top coat, two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme, and Wet n Wild Black Creme for the bow, buttons and tip.  I used a dotting tool for the bow and the buttons.

Today I have sparkly pink nails!  They are so fun and remind me of spring.

I used two coats of Revlon Top Speed Candy and two coats of Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter, using Sally Hansen Complete Care as a base coat and top coat.

Julep Maven Box!

I tried Julep for the 'try for one cent' promotion, and I was pretty pleased with the results.  You take a quiz, to find your style and then you get to pick if you want that box, or another style box.  I decided to keep my quiz result box, which was American Beauty.  The box came shortly after, and it had two polishes, and a Glycolic Hand Scrub.  It was packaged very cutely, and it came with a nail file, a bow wrapped around the polishes and some confetti like material.

The first polish was Pennelope which is a pale pink color.  I normally don't like or wear colors like this, but I actually kind of liked it on.  it was very spring-y which I liked.  I used three coats in the pictures.

The next polish was Portia, a light sparkly blue.  This color is very pretty, and also very spring-y.  I used one coat of Wet n Wild French White Creme and three coats of Portia.

The Glycolic Hand Scrub is wonderful!  At first I was like oh a hand scrub that's not really cool but I'll try it.  I was so surprised at it.  It was so exfoliating and it my hands feel so smooth afterwards and applying lotion.  This is such a good product to get smooth hands.

I really enjoyed the Julep products, but I don't think I'll keep subscribing unless there's something I really like in one of the boxes.  The formula of the nail polishes is good, but I don't think it's that great in comparison to OPI, Essie or China Glaze.

Spring Challenge Day 1: Love and Life

Today is the first day of the spring challenge and the challenge is to do love and life using one of the four color combinations.  I originally wanted to do a light pink, with orange hearts over it, but I could not find that nail polish.  I decided to do a splatter design with orange and pink instead.  It was kind of messy, and hard to do, but the end result is kind of cool.  The colors are so similar, its hard to see them without flash, but the dull pictures without really being able to see the difference is what it actually looks like.  Pink is to represent love and orange life, because that's my favorite color.

I used Sally Hansen Complete Care 4-in-1 treatment for base and top coat, one coat of NYC Long-Wearing Nail Enamel in Times Square Tangerine Orange, and splattered using NYC Long-Wearing Nail Enamel in Pink Promenade Creme.

Essie Cocktail Bling

Essie Cocktail Bling is a gorgeous grey color that I love so much! I normally don't like neutrals that much, but I wanted this color so badly!  I think it's such a pretty color.  I'm so glad to have this in my collection.

I used one coat of essie grow faster basecoat, two coats of essie Cocktail Bling, and seche vite as a top coat.

Easter Nails

I kinda wanted fun easter-y nails for today, but instead I chose to match my nails to the dress I wore.  I also used the teal on my toes to go with my shoes.  This is a fun design, and I really liked the teal color.  It is very shimmery and only needs one coat!

This is one coat of essie grow faster basecoat, one coat of Ulta Dance Teal Dawn, stamped using BM 201 Sally Hansen Gold Pen and seche vite for a topcoat.

Happy Easter!

China Glaze 108 Degrees

I got China Glaze 108 Degrees at Ulta on sale for 3.49 I believe.  It is a vibrant pink, that has a little shimmer in it.  It is a gorgeous color, and it would be perfect for summer.

I used essie grow faster base coat, two coats of 108 degrees, and seche vite for a top coat.
